3D Modelling Snake with Texture

So this is the snake I made for the goblet, the goblet was hidden in this screenshot. I've added a texture, but didn't quite know what to do for the mouth, as I am not that much of a realism-artist I had trouble finding colors to use.

Made in Autodesk Maya 2014, student version btw for those who would like to know.
